Such a thoughtful gift for someone experiencing grief
A close friend lost her best-friend quite suddenly. I wasn't sure what to do for her and came across this. It was really impressive to me that I was able to identify the climate she lived in and a tree was sent for her that was appropriate for her climate (Arizona). She was so touched by this and planted it in her yard. She said it would bring her comfort for years to come.

Perfect Gift in Memory
Gave this tree as a gift that will grow and remind my friend of her grandmother who died really suddenly after they celebrated New Years together. I love that this tree was selected for the climate in my friend's area so it's sure to flourish. The idea that she can always see it and remember her grandma warms my heart - she loved the gift!

This will be my go to memorial gift ALWAYS!
loosing a loved on is hard, loosing one while you are at work and there is nothing you can do is devastating. I decided this would be a great option as a memorial and I was not wrong. The tears of joy than became of this rippled through our company. Not only was the Pine beautiful its was local to our state meaning the upkeep would be completely painless. #sweepstakes

Is the chosen variety of tree native to the location specified? Or is it just growable in that climate? I am interested in having a tree native to the area planted. Thank you!
Verified reply from Maxienne
It might be native, but we don’t guarantee that. However, we do guarantee growable for the climate.

I see the sapling measurements stated in the product details & Q&A, but how big can these saplings grow to be? Or would this depend on the kind of tree chosen based on the provided zip code? I want to be mindful of where I choose to plant the sapling.
Verified reply from Itamar
Correct, the tree size will vary on the tree variety chosen for your ecosystem region.

Can the trees be planted in the winter when it's very cold and often snowy?
Verified reply from Michelle
Hi! Here are some tips from the vendor: If the ground is freezing, they can be planted in a container until spring. During the winter months, your tree should not be kept indoors for more than 10 days. It needs sunlight and does not do well with extended periods of dry heat. Your tree needs to go through a period of dormancy or winter rest (triggered by colder temperatures) that is essential for their well-being, so it should eventually be put outside or in an area with sunlight, but no heat. If the weather outside is freezing, trees need to be acclimated to the outdoors. After planting them in a container, put them in a garage or protected space for 10-14 days where they can still get sunlight, but can get used to colder temperatures, then transition them to outside.

Zip code is used to determine the appropriate tree, but my zip code has 2 very different planting zones. Can I get more specific than just zip code for a compatible tree? My zip code varies from elevation of 6000-9000 ft, I'm in the 9000 ft area so need a more cold hardy tree.
Verified reply from Allison
Yes! The purveyor states it can survive at 9000 ft!
