Disappointed when the MTA filled in the "Y" cutout of their classic subway tokens, Ward Wallau was inspired to find a fun way to incorporate the unaltered tokens into cufflinks. He wanted to prove to the MTA that the original tokens were worthy of celebrating and repurposing and, after 11 years of "no," Ward became the first licensee of the New York City MTA. Since that time, this "authenticity hound," has assembled and grew his team of artisans, production staff, and authenticators in Berkeley, California, where they re-imagine nostalgic artifacts as unique gifts that tell a story. Ward loves breathing new life into things that already exist, be it letterpress blocks, a wooden seat from Wrigley Field, or a bat broken at a Major League baseball game. "This business is ever-challenging, dynamic, and satisfying," he says. "It's not a good day if you don't learn something new!"

Nice item, but small and CRAZY expensive
This is....fine. You do get what you pay for, but the REAL complaint is that there is no clasp or "openable" area so you can, you know, TAKE IT OFF and put it BACK ON. Definitely would NOT spend the money on it again.

Thank you for your review. This bracelet does not have a traditional 'clasp'. The bamboo cord that the uniform is wrapped around in stronger than cotton. Once bracelet is tied, it is set and not adjustable. We've reached out to assist you further!

Fell apart after three months of Daily Wear
It was a great initial gift but it fell apart after three months of daily wear. There was no crazy strain on it, it is just held together by string. Save your money ladies!

Very cool! But bad design
My husband was so excited when I gave his the Raiders bracelet. But we were both frustrated with the way it is attached. There is no clasp. The strings at each end are not tied off to prevent them from fraying. I tied it on his wrist the best I could, but don't know how long it will last on there. I expected better for the price.

Great questions! the packers bracelets are only crafted from the brand new official team issued jerseys. Whereas, all other teams jerseys are game-used. Green Bay Packer's bracelets come with the hologram only.

How long will this bracelet last? It seems as if you can only tie it on once (or a couple times) instead of being able to take on and off. Thanks!

Since the bracelets are made from bamboo Cord and NFL Authenticated Jersey, they are pretty durable and can be worn for extended periods of time. They can also be untied and retied for multiple uses! If the get a little dirty, you can also hand wash them with a mild soap and warm water.

Does the uniform history tell you what player wore the jersey?

It will! And all jerseys are provided from players who played a minimum of 8 games per season and percentage of snaps - minimum 50% of snaps for linemen, 25% for receivers, defensive backs etc. It is worth noting that this maker's collections are more about team spirit rather than the player, specific game or opponent. They avoid high-cost star player's game used uniforms in order to keep items affordable.
