I want another one for me!

I bought this product for my daughter's boyfriend, who is a pianist, and a musician in general. He has ADHD, and I thought this was something that he would get into. It was a winner! I played it myself, and I'm not even a musician! Very cool instrument!! I want one for myself!

Gift for a MIDI musician

The recipient loves it! He said it's a MIDI controller and has enjoyed it. I highly recommend watching the artist videos on Orba's website, but definitely buy it from Uncommon Goods, you cannot beat a lifetime guarantee. After watching those videos I was tempted to buy one for myself, I can only imagine how much fun the recipient is having since he's an actual musician.

Ya Just Can't "Beat" This!

My kid takes it everywhere from Grandma's house to a cruise ship in the Caribbean. He has adhd and has autism and it's the perfect way to keep his hands and mind busy. He loves it!

Perfect gift for the fidgety music-lover in your life!

This product is great for picking up to clear your mind for a few minutes, or to spend a little more time to make more complicated, layered music. It's super satisfying to interact with, with light and haptic feedback--it feels a lot like playing a real instrument! It has next to no learning curve--my husband loves it, but my three-year-old will also pick it up and doodle around. The great thing is it's durable enough that I don't need to worry about the toddler breaking it; I expect even a toss across the room wouldn't phase it. Like any noise-making item, I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to hear it all the time, because it's that fun. You'll hear it a lot if it's in the house.

Hours of fun & creativity already!

My sweetheart is not a musician, but has rhythm and instincts. He's been wanting to play around with some creative musical ideas, and this is a perfect entry. It's portability is it's best feature. It's fairly easy to get started with, and also seems like it will be able to scale up in terms of complexity the better you get at it. It's also just really fun!

Truly a one of a kind product

My partner has not put this device down since he's gotten it. It's so easy to use and incredibly versatile. You can mix and match numerous patterns to create the sound of your choice. There are infinite possibilities. It really brings out the child in both of us. We've been adding our own loops and creating songs together!

Is there an option to use Bluetooth to connect to headphones rather than playing where others can hear?

Great question! The Orba has the option for plug in headphones as well as built-in speakers.

Yes it does require a connection to an app if you want to download new sound samples, or to save a tune you created.

My question seems to be answered . It can't at this time save a creation, but can it play back your arrangement until you make a new creation?

Hi there! You can now save songs to the Orba app, just make sure it's updated to the latest firmware. Any song saved on your mobile Orba app will only be accessible from your mobile app. The same goes for any songs that are saved on the desktop Orba app.
