Designed to keep that oh-so-lovely fresh bread glow, this stone is artfully etched with hand-pressed designs that intricately bloom with warmth. To use simply heat the stone in the oven, remove when warm, place your carb creation on the stone, cover, and voilà! You have delectably hot bread for up to 30 minutes. Choose from a set with one stone and napkin, or a set with one stone, napkin, and basket. Handmade in New York.

“My hands have been in clay since I was an 8-year-old bringing home clay that I dug out of a relative’s yard on a visit to North Carolina,” says Anne Foulke. The native Pennsylvanian studied wheel-thrown ceramics in college, then worked lots of odd jobs before launching her line of handmade tiles—something she was inspired to do after her grandmother gave her an ornately carved butter mold. Today, Anne creates her beautiful, architecture-inspired designs in a studio behind her New York home.

I Heart This Bread Basket

I wish I had this earlier in the pandemic when everyone was baking bread! This is great to serve bread, especially when hot, and there's a little extra "love" at the bottom with the nesting hearts. Easy to clean, too.

What type of stone is it? My dad is a materials nerd and will want to know ;) I know the details say linen, clay, and natural fiber, but clay isn't a type of stone so I guess I'm confused about that.

Thank you for your question! Clay Stone- is a fine-grained sedimentary rock composed predominantly of hardened clay particles. Hope this helps!

Can you post a picture of the side of the basket and more details about the cloth in the basket? Is the basket liner also made from linen? How does the cloth fit so snug around the basket? Is there elastic?
