What Makes It Uncommon

Chicago, 1929. It’s the Roaring Twenties…or maybe rotten is more like it. Something big is going down in Chi-town’s gangster underworld, and the FBI has come to you and your fellow crime-busters for help. Andy Whitmore's trio of interactive games is packed with clues and puzzles that call upon all your deductive skills to crack the case and restore justice in the Windy City.

  • Each game is split into two story lines (about one to two hours of play per part), so it’s like having two games in one.
  • Just like a blockbuster movie trilogy, the story continues across three games for hours of immersive entertainment.
  • In Case 1: La Famiglia, Chicago’s infamous mafia boss Al Capone is behind bars, but there’s more to the story. A dangerous gang known only as La Famiglia is stepping into Capone’s wingtip shoes and it’s up to you to get to the bottom of this new menace to law and order.
  • The story continues in Case 2: The Takedown, with the FBI hot on the heels of La Famiglia’s boss, Vincent Milano. After finding several members of Milano’s gang dead inside a warehouse full of confusing evidence, the Feds call on you to help unravel the growing mystery.
  • Case 3: Codebreaker reveals the full breadth of La Famiglia’s influence, but a codemaker within the outfit has just turned himself in. It’s a race against time as you decipher cryptic materials to strike at the heart of La Famiglia and end their reign of crime once and for all.
  • Recommended for 1–6 players, but also suitable for larger gatherings.
  • Games are sold individually.
  • Made in China.

A "back in time" fantastic time!

Our friends get murder mystery games and when finished, we mail them out to one another to complete and basically "mail it forward". This game definitely will be mailed to another friend!

Challenging and fun collaborative puzzle game

I've played all of the Puzzling Pursuits games so far with friends, including the Famiglia series games. They are all fantastic with a great variety of clever puzzles. Looking forward to more!

Does it require use of a smartphone to play? Another game I played required us to scan QR codes to find clues.
