Originally from Graz, Austria, Heidi Riegler brings a love of Viennese baking to her commercial kitchen in Baldwin, New York. After 25 years in arts PR, she followed her passion for pastry, introducing stateside customers to the classic flavors she grew up with. "I always liked to cook and bake, and wanted to switch careers," she says. Heidi bakes every item herself, often with one or two assistants during busy seasons. With features in The New York Times and critical praise, her treats have earned a loyal following. Since launching in a rented kitchen, her business has steadily grown, fueled by old-world recipes and a deep belief in the joy of a well-baked cookie.
