Dan Neff grew up in Minnesota's Iron Range, where he still lives today. At 11, he began working for his grandfather, a stone mason, which fostered "a deep appreciation for skilled craftsmanship." He took his first glassblowing class at 17. "I was hooked," he says. Eventually, Dan gave up "virtually all of my other passions" to dedicate "every spare moment... to the mastery of glass." He's inspired by "the water and the changing seasons" and strives to "emulate the palette of the outdoors" in glass.

Very different in a good way
Very pretty item. I have it hanging in front of my kitchen window and the sun catches it..very appealing..eye catching..anyone who comes in for first time has noticed it. I have the purple glass color..but blue looks nice too.

I love this vase!
I purchased this for our new lake cottage. The previous owner had a hand-blown vase the same colour on the wall and I liked the vibe. So, I was looking for a replacement and found this vase. I love it so much because I wanted something aesthetically to represent the water, and the glitter represents the spray of the waves as they lap the sand on the beach. It is an Artsy way for me to bring the waters of Lake Huron into our cottage.

what is it hanging by and how does it hang?

In the picture, it is hanging by the included ribbon, which you loop through the hole at the top of the vase and then hang from a hook. You can also use a wire instead of the ribbon, if you prefer.

What is the timeline on the return policy? I was considering buying this as an early Christmas present, but if for some reason she would want to return it, would it be past the usual deadline?

As long as it is in it's original condition we will accept any item be it 3 days or 3 years from the purchase.
