Bubble Vase Air Planter

Growing up near the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Barbara foothills, Berton Atherton Schrack was inspired by nature's endless colors and patterns. When he was seven years old, a family trip introduced him to glassblowing, sparking a lifelong fascination. As a teen, he took classes and later apprenticed at a well-known studio, then opened his own studio after moving to Oregon in the 1990s. At an art festival, he met his future wife, Christy, an East Coast jeweler. Blending their mediums, they combined their businesses and moved to Portland, where they raise a family and work together in their backyard studio, happily rooted in the creative culture of the Pacific Northwest.
