“Sea glass captures a day spent at the beach with family or enjoying a walk and collecting beach treasures. The most exciting thing for me is being able to bring those memories to life through preserving it into a piece of jewelry.”

Growing up in coastal Massachusetts jewelry designer Carla Garro spent her summers at the beach collecting treasures up and down the shore. Jewelry has always been her passion and she is an entrepreneur at heart. Opening her first business at the early age of 18, Carla's creative wheels have been turning ever since! She owned a women's gift boutique for several years, which is where Lita Sea Glass Jewelry first took shape. The sea glass jewelry took off rapidly and eventually Carla decided to focus full time on her growing sea glass jewelry line. Since then Carla has had the honor of being featured at the Golden Globe awards along with several magazine features including Coastal Living Magazine. Living her dream and pursuing a career that she feels so passionately about Carla feels thankful for all the steps that have led her down this seaside journey!

How do you care for the sea glass necklace?

To restore shine to the silver, use a polish cloth. Be sure to use it only on the silver and not on the surface of the sea glass. It?s pitted surface can hold onto the dark oxidation that is left on the cloth. To restore vibrancy to the sea glass, use a mild dish soap and a bit of ammonia diluted in water and scrub the surface with a soft bristle brush. Rinse clean and pat dry. To protect the brilliance of the sea glass, rub a small amount of mineral oil on the surface
