Potter Kerry Brooks was heading towards a PhD in American Cultures from the University of Michigan before she decided to move to Ann Arbor and train in ceramics instead, from 1988 to 1992. The next year, she moved to Minneapolis, and co-founded a four-person pottery collective the year after that. The other three potters eventually moved on, so she's run the business herself for the last 15 years. As an employer (currently of 45 people) and gallery host, she has influenced the next generation of Minnesota clay artists, and many of her employees are artists in their own right. Pottery remains Kerry's passion, but she loves to travel and sing when she's not running her business, doing philanthropic work, or raising her daughter.

Great gift for the homesick
I bought this ornament for my Husband. He is from Missouri but, we live in California. He truly misses his home state. He hung the ornament in his man-cave to enjoy year round. It catches the light with the look of natural geode. Very nice

Fragile ornaments
I received the Wi ornament I ordered. The tip of the state was broken. The Seller did replace it though. This one is intact. Colors are nice and as pictured.

Fragile but Beautiful
I bought these for Christmas gifts for my husband's siblings and they were a hit. Every one of them commented on how beautiful they were. Unfortunately one of them broke in transit to me and so I wasn't able to send that one, nor was I able to re-order a new one as they shop was out of stock. However, the seller was quick to issue a credit when I reached out and sent a picture of the broken ornament. Given how fragile these are, I probably wouldn't order them again but the shop had some other beautiful things that caught my eye :)

Perfect gift
I gave each of my sons-in-law one of these, from their state of birth, at Christmas as their annual ornament from me. They certainly can be used as an ornament or charm. These are finished beautifully, and the colors are deep and rich. Now I want one for myself!

Lovely gift

Are you considering making country ornaments? I'd love to get the geode state ornaments for my family (as most of them were born stateside) but my son was born in Germany when we were stationed over there and I was born in France (though I'm of Polish heritage) so, unfortunately two of the seven of us wouldn't be able to have such a meaningful ornament to hang on our tree. Please consider adding to your product line. It is a wonderful concept.
