“I like to keep things pretty simple. I focus on warmth, humor, and emotion.”
Patricia Carlin believes that a small sketch has the power to tell a story without language. She started out as an art director in Philadelphia, selling everything from potato chips to financial products. In 2001, a friend wanted help launching a glassware business, so Patricia designed and wrote copy for several products for the new venture. Patricia has explored many techniques in her illustration, but simple line drawing appeals to her most. "For me, paring things down to their simplest essence is always the best way to understand them," she says.

Durable, fun and well designed
I bought these on a whim as a Christmas present for our dog-loving (or is that dog-obsessed?) household. The illustrations on each glass are fun and well-designed and after multiple runs through the dishwasher they also appear to be very durable -- which is very often not the case. If you have/love/want dogs then this set of glasses will make a great addition to your household. Enjoy!

Details indicate; top rack dishwasher save. When reading reviews one comment was the design came off after using dishwasher. When reading questions and answers; Uncommongoods states; glasses should be washed by hand. Extremely confusing and conflicting information! Which is it?

Thanks for asking for clarification! In the Q&A, we originally said it should be washed by hand, but we provided an updated answer afterward stating they are now dishwasher safe. As for the customer who did not have a good experience with dishwashing them, the bad dogs were misbehaving again and probably the worst of the bunch. However, rest assure that you can pop them into the dishwasher. We'll happily assist you in the rare case that the the designs do come off!

Yes they are! Because of their tapered shape, they can be stacked easily. Please be sure to take care when stacking, though, as they are made of glass.
