A Great Addition to Our Kitchen

This radio is easy to use, has a warm tone and looks great on my kitchen table. I especially enjoy being able to stream big band and swing music through the speaker and pretend that it's 1945 again while I'm having my morning coffee.

Great aesthetic, average sound, misleading dimensions

Quality and aesthetic are very good; 'solid' knobs and feel of adjusting the tuner = vintage. Speaker is average. I was expecting a bit more volume and bass relative to the decent size of the unit. Listed dimensions are 11" L x 10" W x 6.5" H. In reality, the unit when sitting upright is 11" W (across front of unit), 6.5" L (or, deep... front of speaker face to rear face of unit), 10" H (top of unit to base of unit). It is taller and more square than it appears, and 10" High/tall is significantly different than the misleading listed 6.5"H, when considering where you'll fit this.

I hope I dont need to buy one again, but would recommend it!

I bought this because it plugs in. My last blue tooth radio didnt even last a year before it started having electrical issues. It would randomly shut off then I would have to start it again. Not so great when Im trying to give a massage. So far I love this radio. The sound is great, sound comes in so clear, and my clients love it! They all comment on feelings of grandparent nostalgia.

So do both of them need to be plugged in to use the radio, or is one able to be used unplugged?

The Vintage Inspired radio has a wall plug the would need to be plugged in to use. The Bluetooth wireless radio comes with a charger. It would not need to be plugged in to work. Each item is sold separately and can be chosen in the drop down menu.

is it water resistant? I"m not talking swimming with it but could i use it on the back of the toilet? Might get the occasional small splash.

Thank you for the question. The Throwback Speaker is made primarily of wood with plastic and speaker cloth. I would not recommend using this speaker in areas where it might get wet or damp. Hope this helps!
