A Gift for the "Record" Books

I was stumped about what to get my son's GF for Christmas this year. Then I stumbled on an AP gift guide/article my local newspaper had picked up. My son's GF collects vinyl, they like to entertain, so I was like, "Score!" Your turntable charcuterie board was a huge hit. Thank you!

Poorly Constructed

I am genuinely shocked at the poor construction of this product. It goes against the grain with all my other product experiences with Uncommon Goods. I ended up writing an email to Customer Service with pictures to illustrate my issues and let them know about the quality, and this is what I wrote. -The slate "record" was poorly cut; the circle is uneven. -The slate record was poorly buffed; you can see the buff marks on the slate. -The wood "record player" was poorly cut; the square is uneven. -The wood record player was poorly sanded; you can see areas where sanding was missed. -The center metal piece of the record player is loose from the bottom (the hex nut does not have anything to stop it from unwinding, and it keeps coming undone) and has made circular marks on the wood in transit. This is very poor construction. -One of the record player's "feet" came off, and upon looking at the way it was attached, I saw that it was very poorly constructed. There is no way that these feet can stay on the record player with these tiny pieces of metal.

Cute but REALLY small

More like a 45 record player. It would be better if the needle handle was in fact a cheese knife instead of a wire cheese slicer. It was a cute gift for someone new to the music industry, but it's so small, I'd be surprised if it gets used much.

Is it safe to wash the wood with soap and water? Or should I only wash the slate with soap and water? I'm afraid if I wash the wood it will warp

Hello! This is fine to wash with mild soap and water, just dry immediately. If you're concerned about warping, you can just wipe the wood clean with a damp cloth.
