What Makes The Earth Unbound Infinity Jigsaw Puzzle Uncommon

This puzzle has no edges and no boundaries—just endless ways to explore our home planet. Its inspiration comes from the Dymaxion map projection, which was designed to preserve the scale of Earth’s landmasses with minimal distortion. Laser-cut from custom birch plywood in the Catskill Mountains, each of the 441 pieces features flowing, organic lines, 16 of which are whimsically shaped like animals from around the globe. Crafted using custom software and rooted in cartographic innovation, this map breaks free from borders—so you can too.

  • Contains 441 laser-cut pieces, including 16 animal-shaped whimsies.
  • Made from premium birch plywood. Measures 21" x 10" when complete.
  • Based on an icosahedral projection that unfolds the globe with reduced distortion.
  • Artwork derived from NASA’s Earth Observatory satellite images.
  • Infinity design means no edges or fixed shape—reconfigure any way you like.
  • Made in Palenville, New York.

Difficult, but totally worth it

Great quality and smell. Probably the most difficult of the uncommon goods puzzle we have tried of this type (Geode, infinite galaxy). But very satisfying once all the pieces are placed.
