At their small studio, artists Jim Dowd and Sandra Bonazoli combine traditional techniques and old-world skills with modern style. Jim and Sandra are inspired by the folk art of many cultures, plants and animals, vintage children's story books, and quirky old tools. Their intention is to bridge the gap between craft and contemporary design by using elements of decoration, craft, and technology, and employing them in new and unexpected contexts.

Jim and Sandra both hold Masters in Fine Art degrees, and their collaborative work has been shown at the American Craft Museum in New York City, and featured in numerous publications. They live in a little Rhode Island town in a cottage.
