Fun game for a great night of fun!
I purchased this gift for my husband for Christmas and it's hands down one of the best gifts I have ever given him. Our family and friends love it too! We have played it at every party since. Other people have a game similar but the quality of this one is fabulous!

The perfect family get together game!
Hands down the best Christmas gift I ever gave my father. Our family used to play cards at every holiday but this game was so much fun it's all we ever play. We play for money and anyone of any age can be the winner. Great for adults, teens and kids as young as 5. I'm buying another set so we can have it at the vacation home.

Family and friend fun!
The game is fast-paced and fun. The board is durable. The pieces are a little difficult to get in and out of the slots and it would be nice if the board were a little bigger to fit more people around the game board.

Great family fun.
Family competition; would prefer metal horses instead of plastic; poker chips not included, my husband made those.

Great game for a group
I purchased this game for a birthday gift for my dad. Based on the description, I thought it would be a good game for my parents to play together. Turns out, it is a better game for a group. We are hoping to use it once our extended family is able to gather safely again in 2021. It is well made and seems like it will last many years to come.

Kept kids off their electronics for hours
Was looking for a new board game that would be fun and addictive. Not an easy task. I bought this game because i enjoy board games, card games, and dice games. You get all 3 here. I forced my kids to play to try to get some family time. Everyone that has kids knows how hard it is to pry them away from their electronics. This game was an instant hit. Kids loved it we played for 3 hours and they wanted to llay more. Played with my family a week later a big hit again. You can even make it interesting like real horse racing and place some friendly wagers

Does it come complete with instructions on how to play only there's no mention of it in the advertisement.
Verified reply from Amy
This comes with directions! If you're curious before purchase, the general gist of the game is that you line up the horses at the starting gate, deal the cards and begin rolling the dice to scratch horses and start building your “pot”. The remaining horses race to the finish line. Hold the winning horse’s card and you win!

We recently bought the horseracing game. We understand the contents do not include chips. We 'd need 5, 10, 25,and 50 cent chips for each player before starting the game. We plan to get chips of four diferent colors. Hoy many of these should players have?
Verified reply from Leslie
Hi there! Per the artist, we do not have a set amount of chips that are needed to play the game. There are a various amount of people that you can play the game with. We encourage customers to do what works best in their situation.

RULE QUESTION: If a player loses all or their cards due to all cards being "scratched" at the beginning are they out of the game or do they continue to play? We actually had this happen. By the way this is a great game!
Verified reply from Alice
Yes, if a player loses all their cards during the "scratched" portion of the game, they are out for the particular game. We're so glad you love it, and we wish you luck on your next race!

Hello, I'm wondering how you play the game. I see playing cards next to it, and dice, but there is no mention of how cards are incorporated into the actually playing of the horse race. If only dice are involved, I believe the person I'm considering purchasing this for would get bored. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your question. Without getting too deeply into the details, here are the basics: The horses are numbered. Each player takes a turn rolling the dice. The rolls of the dice determine which horses "scratch" (sit out a race), which players have to pay what to the pot, and how far a horse advances each round. When a horse crosses the finish line, it wins. The cards you're dealt are your your shares of each horse in the race. For example, if you hold a 9 card, you own one share (out of four--one for each suit), of horse #9, if you have two 9 cards, you own two shares of horse #9, and so on. For each share of a winning horse, a player wins one-fourth of the pot. The board takes into account the probability of the outcome of the dice, so each horse has a different number of spaces to move before reaching the finish line. For example the #2 horse only has three spots to go before it wins, while the #7 horse has eight. This is because it is significantly more difficult to roll a two than it is a seven. The game ends after a predetermined time or number of rounds. Whoever has the most money at the end, wins. (How they handle their winnings is up to you!)
