“I like to keep things pretty simple. I focus on warmth, humor, and emotion.”

Patricia Carlin believes that a small sketch has the power to tell a story without language. She started out as an art director in Philadelphia, selling everything from potato chips to financial products. In 2001, a friend wanted help launching a glassware business, so Patricia designed and wrote copy for several products for the new venture. Patricia has explored many techniques in her illustration, but simple line drawing appeals to her most. "For me, paring things down to their simplest essence is always the best way to understand them," she says.

glass, wood, cotton wick, vegan soy coconut wax

Measurements

3.5" H x 3.125" Dia. 11 oz.

Care

Trim wick to 1/8" (3mm) before lighting. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, pets and children. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not tilt candle to write on it while lit or if the wax is melted.

Approximate burn time of 56–72 hours for one 11 oz candle. Sold individually and as a set

For optimal burning, allow melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel before extinguishing.

After candle wick is completely used, place open vessel in freezer overnight to solidify wax. Do not freeze wooden lid. Once completely frozen, gently work wax out of vessel and scrape of any residual wax. Clean glass vessel with warm water and soap and allow to dry. Wipe wooden lid with warm damp cloth and allow to dry. Use vessel and lid for small storage. Vessel is not food safe.
