Luminescent, endless, slow-waving tentacles: Jellyfish are perhaps our sea's most ethereal creatures. Get up close and personal—without the risk of a sting—with Andrea and James Stanford's charming little chimes. Inspired by the nearby Atlantic Ocean, the artists fell in love with the jellyfish's gracefulness as well as their unique shape and colors. They handcraft the chimes from multi-colored glass, attaching a set of free-swinging tentacles to a hollow bell. No matter where you live—close to the ocean or hundreds of miles away—the pleasant clangs and clinks add a bit of deep sea enchantment to your garden or home. Handmade in St. Augustine, Florida.

James and Andrea Stanford met by chance while exhibiting at an art festival in 2011, beginning an intriguing conversation about the beauty of glass artistry that the couple continues to discuss to this day. They also launched a collaborative journey into glass blowing techniques, interpretive form, and collectible creations that draw upon the essence of the subject. Combining over 40 years of glass exploration, their style is defined by the whimsical nature of what they make. Their love of glass art, each other, and nature is expressed in the playful pieces they produce every day.

So beautiful

I have been putting this off for so long as much as I love jellyfish I have many of them, but this particular one is so well-made and very classy. It sits in our window porthole and I can see it coming and going in and out of the house every day. This particular one is so very well made. I love uncommon goods because it's a place you can buy something for that person in your life has everything and you never know what to get them. I've been so happy with everything I've got from uncommon goods thank you so much for this piece I will treasure it always.

Beautiful glass chime

This is a beautiful and unique chime my daughter loved as she collects jellyfish items. The handmade glass and colors reflect the light beautifully and the sound of the chime in the wind is very peaceful.

Stunning! Yet to see anything like it!

I love looking out on my porch with my coffee seeing the light shine through the glass, the calming sounds! It's perfect. My pictures won't do this justice but I'll update them if I find a good one! You will not be disappointed. It's a gorgeous piece.

Beautiful and unique

My sister and I spotted one of these at a gift shop in Kennebunkport, Maine last summer. She pined after it, himmed & hawed but ultimately decided she shouldn't spend the money. Pretty, but hardly ever chimes

My front porch is breezy. This only chimes if it's extremely windy.

I would buy again, but smaller than expected!

I haven't used the product yet. But, it will be hanging in my boat salon as soon as the boating season starts.

If I hang this outside, and don't hang it by a wall or tree, can or will it still break during strong wind? Is the glass used stronger than normal blown glass trinkets? Is this made for outside use?

Yes, this can be used outside if you take care in where you hang it. Borosilicate glass is quite strong, however it is still glass and would likely break if dropped or blown apart by very strong wind. It should not be outdoors in harsh environments.
