When Candeleria Reymundo and Greg Waloszczyk left their nine-to-five London jobs for a round-the-world trip, a vacation wasn't exactly what they had in mind. "Our passion for travel has always inspired us," explains the couple. "So we wanted to start a business that could work wherever we were visiting, to encourage others to explore the planet." Seven continents and thousands of miles later, Candeleria and Greg continue to create travel-motivating, meaningful, and sustainable treasures.

Care

Leave design to dry for 15 minutes before baking at 320°F in a pre-heated oven for 25 minutes. Leave to cool in the oven. Mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Great mugs!

We bought 3 for the grandkids & gave them on Thanksgiving. They loved them & so did the parents. We didn't bake them yet so don't know how well that works out. The parents travel with the kids so they had fun talking about the different trips they had made to the different states. Mugs were packaged well & shipped quickly. May be buying the world mugs next.

Love this!

I enjoy maps and traveling and remembering those travels, this mug marries them together. I HIGHLY recommend getting the expansion pack of markers because one color doesn't really cut it once you start coloring in neighboring states and just any old marker won't work.

Very Good Quality and Original

Very good quality mug. The mug has a narrower opening at the top compared to conventional mugs (giving the mug a kind of tear drop shape) which helps keep the heat in. As a gift, it is very thoughtful and has an original design. I got the map mug for my friend that loves to travel so she could colour in all the places she has been and all the places she has yet to visit! I got the constellation mug for my boyfriends sister as a reminder of our first camping trip where we stargazed for hours.

Unique Wedding Gift

I gave the World mug and the USA mug to a couple getting married. This way they can record their journey/travel through life. (Sidenote: purchase the marker expansion to make the mug more colorful.)

If you use permanent market, it might wear off over time especially when you wash the cup. The markers recommended are porcelain markers, which will allow the ink to stay on the mugs once the mugs are baked.

The markers are edding porcelain brushpens with a 1-4 mm tip. However, you can use any porcelain markers from other brands to allow the ink to stay on the mugs once the mugs are baked.

It comes with a green marker. However, if you're feeling fancy, you can get the expansion set for four more markers (orange, red, and two shades of blue).

The directions for the mug appear to indicate that you bake it after you color it to set the coloring and then can use with dishwasher and microwave...can you add to it over time as you travel more and bake / set it repeatedly?
