Smaller than expected, but good quality
This is a very solid ceramic cup, thick walls, colorful, and sturdy. I was expecting it to be bigger - it's definitely not a 10oz cup like what is sold elsewhere - but for looks, it's worth the purchase. For using as a cup, you'll be refilling it constantly.

PERFECT for NYC lovers!
After visiting NYC, I was looking for the perfect gift to bring home to remind me of the Big Apple. For a coffee/tea lover, this really was the perfect gift! I love how the cup shape/finishing really makes you think it's the original paper cup. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect Gift!
Bought this for a former NY'er as part of their coffee gift basket and it was a big hit. The cup was made of sturdy ceramic and the design was almost a perfect match to the NY coffee carts. Since this was ceramic, my only wish is that it came with a ceramic sleeve or some kind of handle. It would take away from the design but the cup is a bit heavy and may be difficult to lift for those who need that safety handle (me! because I am clumsy). The recipient loved this though and I would definitely purchase again.

exactly what I want -- goodbye cardboard look-alikes
I used to save the cardboard coffe cups I got from the vendors on the street and in bodegas -- I loved using them over again at home. But they didn't wear well at all -- after a couple of re-uses they fell apart :( Now, I have this classic looking cup for home use and it'll last forever !! (or until stupid me drops it by accident & it breaks apart :(

Beautiful but less functional than I had hoped.
It's really well crafted and looks exactly like cardboard, down to small divots in the ceramic that look like where the cardboard folds over. However, the lack of a handle means that this mug gets very hot when you put coffee in it. And while the size is true to life, it's too small for a standard cup of nespresso. It was a fun Hanukkah gift for my NYC-born wife, but she's bummed she can't really use it to drink coffee. Oh well. Keeping it anyway because it's fun to look at; maybe it will find new life as a pencil jar.

Many of us have used these in our office, and none of us have gotten burned. It getrs warm, but it only gets really hot if you pour in a beverage that's boiling. We just love them so much that we work around that by holding them with a napkin adding a sleeve, adding just a little cool water to our coffee or waiting until it cools off a little, etc. They look exactly like the old-school Greek coffee cups every NYC coffee shop and diner used to have, so we wouldn't change a thing about them!
