A welcome Christmas gift.
This was a gift for my girlfriend who absolutely loves penguins and she loved this water bottle, as she drinks almost exclusively water every day and this is perfect for her to take to work.

FOOD EXPLODED ON THE FIRST USE
I bought this at Uncommon Goods at the Grand Central Holiday Market in NYC on Sunday, November 16th, 2025. Upon my first use today on Monday, November 17th, 2025, I got lots of compliments. I treated this as a normal thermos and ate half of my soup at 11:30 AM before sealing the food in the container again. Note that the food was just WARM, not hot. At 4 pm, the food in my container literally EXPLODED, LIKE A BOMB while I was in the office. Was this user error? I don't know because when I use my regular Thermos, this doesn't happen when I still have food inside. Now my office, laptop, and ceiling is covered in fermented, nasty smelling food because it was literally fermenting. At least the cow head silicone literally popped off when this happened so it can still be used as decor.

While a thermos explosion is rare, it can happen if pressure builds up inside the container. This pressure can come from food spoilage caused by bacteria or from superheated liquids, and overfilling the thermos can sometimes contribute to the issue, even when the food does not feel very hot. Your experience is absolutely not something we ever want for any customer. Please know we are truly sorry this happened, and we would like to gather more information so we can look into this further and see how we can help.

I know the container will keep most foods safe, but are they soup safe?

Yes! They are leak-proof when closed.
