"I have been illustrating for as long as I can remember," says Sydney, Australia-based Beck Feiner. She studied visual communication in college, then worked as a graphic designer and an advertising art director. "After I had my second kid," she says, "I knew I wanted to do my own thing, and I finally had the confidence. Maybe going through two long births made me feel like I could do anything!" Her work, she says, aims to shine a spotlight on social issues and tap into the mood of the time.
