I would absolutely buy this product again
We are currently in the process of brewing this beer so I cannot speak to the finished product but I already have an inkling that I will be needing to buy a refill kit. The process of brewing was a mildly intense but thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would say that you need to give yourself enough space and time to properly make the batch and be sure that everyone around understands that they will soon be a part of the brewing or at least their nose will be. The smell is not terrible but I also wouldn't make a candle out of it. All in all we have enjoyed this product. This Christmas present continues to bring joy, light and hopefully delicious beer into our new year.

If I buy a brewing kit for one type of beer, will it work for the refills of a different type?
Verified reply from Brandon
Yes, it will! As soon as you have the brewing kit, buy any of our refills of our beer brewing refills.
- Alison
I'm wondering if this kit requires additional bottling equipment, or if the beer can be brewed and then poured directly from the gallon fermenter. If we like the beer maybe we'll try bottling next time, but we'd like to keep it simple for our first try. Thanks!
Verified reply from Cassie, Community Moderator
Transferring the beer from the fermenter to an airtight container is an important step, because it ensures carbonation. But, you don't have to bottle the beer if you're looking to save time. Instead, you could use a gallon growler or two smaller growlers.
- Vicki
how long does it take to make?
Verified reply from Cassie, Community Moderator
The set up and cooking process takes a little over an hour. After mixing and cooking the ingredients, you'll need to allow it to ferment for 2 weeks. After fermentation, you'll bottle the beer. Once it's bottled, the beer should condition for 2 more weeks. Basically, there's about a month between when you start the kit to when you can enjoy the brew of your labor.
