Simple but fun
This is essentially a photo album with a cover encouraging use for ticket stubs, but it's cute and worked for a gift for a travel-loving family.

Underwhelming - functional without personality
I have ordered many gifts from Uncommon Goods over the last 10+ years and this was the first one that disappointed me. I expected it to be well designed and thought out by someone who loves to travel, but it is like a drugstore scrapbook with two different size pockets with "travel stub diary" on the cover and zero personality and creativity inside. For what I got, I think it's overpriced, though I would have gladly paid that or more for something unique and special. This felt like a quick and easy money making idea, not an "uncommon good."

A disappointment
Looks like an old-time photo album- pages covered in plastic slips. All generic, nothing special or unique. Overpriced. Aside from the cover, I could have purchased at the Dollar Store :(
Response from merchant
We’re sorry to hear that the photo album didn’t meet your expectations. We work hard to offer unique and high-quality products, and it’s disappointing to know this one didn’t feel special to you. We’re reaching out directly in case we can do more to help

Super cute but a bit smaller
I got this for my boyfriend and it is super cute but it is a lot smaller than expected the main part isnt big enough to fit post cards. It will definitely be good for other little trinkets though

nifty gift
My daughter put the Travel Stub Diary on her wish list and I found it such a useful and fun item. Instead of accumulating mementos in random places or a dusty shoe box, this diary will serve as a way to organize them into a 'good times album.' She can refresh good memories and rekindle the excitement that travel offers whenever she chooses. I'm already thinking about who else I want to give that opportunity to.

It is very cute and it is a great price point! Loved that there are different-sized pouches for stubs and places for little notes!

I would buy this again!
A great travel organizer for all the brochures I pick up on my trips. Easy to access. Small binder so takes up less space them a 12 by 12 scrapbook.

What size is this book? Would you recommend getting this one and the ticket stub dairy too? Or is that too many books? Or are they basically the same?
Verified reply from Melody
The book is 6.25" L x 1.25" W x 9.75" H with 48 pages (16 pages with 2 sleeves, 32 full page sleeves). This book is ideal for travel memorabilia, like horizontal and vertical slots to keep ticket stubs, snapshots, postcards, etc., and room in the margins for jotting down travel impressions and memories, whereas, the ticket stub diary has 52 pages and 112 ticket sleeves for various sized tickets and an area in the margin for notes.

Are the pages and plastic sleeves ACID FREE "Archival quality"?
Verified reply from Nicola
Great question! Yes, the Travel Stub Diary's pages are acid-free to keep your travel memories in tip-top shape for years to come.

ARE THERE ANY BLANK PAGES FOR JOURNAL WRITING - OR JUST THE MARGINS OF THE SLIDE IN PAGES?
Verified reply from Valerie
There aren't entire pages for writing in this book. All of your notes will need to fit in the margins.

It's hard to tell since there is just one image of this item, but isn't this basically just a modern photo book? I've been looking for an album with the sticky pages, and it seems the slide in kind (which I think this is?) is the only book sold these days. Thanks in advance.
Verified reply from Marisa
Thanks for your question. It's made along the same principles as slide-in sleeve photo albums, but with variations to make it ideal for travel memorabilia, like horizontal and vertical slots to keep ticket stubs, snapshots, postcards, etc., and room in the margins for jotting down travel impressions and memories. It doesn't have the sticky pages you see, however. Thanks for shopping with UncommonGoods.

Are the compartments kept closed somehow or are you in risk of items falling out if the diary goes into a back pack upside down?
Verified reply from Paul
What a fabulous question, thanks for reaching out to us. There is not a seal on any of the pockets; however, it is a plastic window against paper, so there is a good deal of friction. In addition some pockets are aligned vertically while others are horizontal. I just performed a short test, paper currency showed no signs of movement, simple paper moved only slightly while harder and heavy materials like a credit card came out quite easily. So while it is possible for some items to slide out, with experience and patience I believe the diary will prove quite capable no matter which angle it is packed.
Can you purchase additional pages to insert if full, instead of buying a new book?
Verified reply from Marisa, Assistant community moderator
Good question! The answer is no, unfortunately. The way the books are bound doesn't allow for new pages.
Reply from Tiffany
No, you can't purchase extra pages for this book. It is bound on the inside (like a book versus a 3 ring notebook or something else you can add pages to). Once it's filled, you'd have to move on to Volume II.
Reply from Family Organizer
No you can't, and that's a limitation. They should have made it a binder.
