Good
The lids are quite difficult to open, even during low humidity. The outside of the box is high quality however the inside is unfinished. Overall, good for the price.

An adorable box, but...
These were intended as gifts to cat loving friends. I initially ordered three, two sent to my address, and the third one shipped directly to the recipient. Of the two sent to me, one was very nice, but the other was hardly "gift quality." The cat's nose piece, which is key to opening one side of the box, was obviously from a different piece of wood, did not match the wood grain, and was wedged so tightly into position that it could not be readily removed. I asked to have the defective box replaced, which was done cheerfully and expeditiously, with a box of suitable quality. But then I saw the box which had been sent directly to the recipient, and it also was of inferior workmanship. Two of the initial three boxes ordered were inferior. By now I have recognized the quality control issue, and didn't want to risk receiving yet another inferior box. I opted not to have the third box replaced, but asked for a refund, for which I am still waiting. I do not anticipate a problem with the refund once the item is received by Uncommongoods, as this company has always been good and reasonable to work with. Based upon this experience, I cannot recommend this box to anyone.
