Unfortunately, I cannot recommend. Faulty product.
Love the idea of this, but we too couldn't get it to work past day 2. Very disappointing.

Day 2 and it doesn't work
Steer clear from this one! Grown adult couldn't get past a possibly defective part in the 2nd day. Would return if I could.

Awesome for future electrical engineers
We got this for our 10-year-old, who had been begging for a kit that would let him play around with different wire configurations. This turned out to be perfect for him. After a few mis-steps where he wasn't paying close attention to which hole to insert the wires into, he figured it out - and he's learning a lot! If he'd been handed all the parts in this kit at once it would have been overwhelming, so he's enjoying the gradual, one-day-at-a-time build-up of difficulty. I will note that this kit would not be appropriate for the average 10-year-old! He's has a laser focus on engineering since he was tiny and was already familiar with the concepts. If you have a future electrical engineer in your life, this is a fantastic advent calendar.

Inadequate Instructions
We got this advent calendar to do as a family and unfortunately we aren't up to the task. My sons (13&12) and I (40) just cannot manage to understand. Next time it might help to print the instructions in color? Thanks. I gave it 3 stars to share the responsility of the failure.
