After a decade of working in graphic design, illustration, and photography, they launched their creative "side hustle" at an art fair in 2014. Within six years, it was their full-time job. The pair sees living and working together as a benefit to their business: "Being so close means we know each other well enough to know when one needs encouragement—or needs to be left alone!"

Very Cool Product but Stinky
I purchased four of these to give as Christmas gifts. Perhaps it was the time of year that caused this, but when they arrived they all stunk SO bad they gave me a headache just sitting next to them. They were stained/sealed with polyurethane and it did not fully cure before being sent to me. The stench was so bad I couldn't give them as gifts to the teenagers I had picked them out for. They had to sit out on my front porch until after Christmas because they were stinking up my house so much. I am giving 4 stars though because the concept is a very good one, the quotes are uplifting, and when I contacted Uncommon goods to get a refund I got one, no questions asked. I do recommend these but only during a slower time of year.

Loved the bookends, slow delivery
The book ends are beautiful and I am very happy with them. I ordered them for Christmas but they took too long to arrive to give as a Christmas present so I'm saving them for our granddaughter's birthday. I know she will love them.

I bought these for my mom for Christmas and they are the new stars of her bookshelf. Unique, high quality, weighty enough to support a lifetime of reading. "Little Women" was my mom's favorite book growing up; she is so touched to have Louisa May Alcott on her shelf again. #sweepstakes

We received damaged versions and the seller refused to replace them because they are "supposed to look distressed". Uncommon goods has been no help.

Very cool
These are beautiful and look just as advertised. Unfortunately, because wood has natural imperfections, one piece appears damaged because it is chipped on the edge I did not complain because it is impossible to tell if it was dropped or if it was just the way the wood was.
