Born in Ahmedabad, India, Neena Jhaveri has had an appreciation for all forms of beauty since childhood. She followed her father's advice that her university studies should focus on the sciences as well as the arts. Although her passion has always been in the arts, spirituality, and nature, she learned long ago that science, the arts, and religion coexist harmoniously. Today, Neena continues to produce her unique designs as limited edition silk and cotton products (made with natural fibers) and exceptional works of pottery. She finds pleasure in creating beautiful things, and a dream come true in sharing these creations with the world.

Wonderful gift for weddings!!!
Bowl is a work of art but because it is microwave + oven safe it becomes the most beautiful + useful bowl in your home. It can be put on display with fruit in your kitchen or it can contain your favorite salad. It can be the vessel you cook your favorite casseroles in as well. This is an amazing bowl!

Is this bowl food safe for salads, hot and cold dishes? Are there any foods or sauces that should be avoided in this bowl?

Great question, since this clay is made with stoneware clay it is generally considered to be the most food safe types of clay. Since stoneware clay pottery is created at high temperatures it makes them less porous and less likely to leach chemicals.
