Not safe for sensitive skin
I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my kiddo. Within a minute of dropping the bath bomb into the water, she was covered in angry red hives. I had to rinse her thoroughly and give her Benadryl. She's used lots of bath bombs without issue, so it was disappointing that the ingredients in these were so harsh, especially for something marketed for kids.
Response from merchant
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m so sorry to hear about your child’s reaction to the Mystery Prize Bath Bomb. That must have been very upsetting, especially for a product intended for kids. We haven’t seen any trends or defects with this item. We work to be transparent with each item’s materials, and the ingredients for these bath bombs are listed on our product page, including baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, grapeseed oil, fragrance, FDAC coloring, polysorbate 80, and witch hazel. Even so, we understand that sensitivities can vary, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re following up directly to offer assistance and look into this further.

Great stocking stuffer for teens
Both of my teens loved this stocking stuffer. They both only got $1, but the prospect of getting more was fun. My only issue was that the price still seems rather steep.

Fell apart immediately
While the quality of the materials used to make the bomb are of a higher quality than ones you get at the store, it fell apart soon as we unwrapped them. I bought two (one for each kid) and both did the same thing. They were both one dollar bills, which is to be expected because not everybody can get the high bills. However, my kids were super looking forward to watching them dissolve to see what they would get. Instead, they both crumbled in my hands and they were able to see the one dollar bill immediately. Kind of lost their excitement.
Response from merchant
We’re very sorry to hear that this experience didn’t go as expected. This bath bomb is meant to be a fun and exciting surprise, and we know how disappointing it can be when it doesn’t work out that way. This is definitely not the experience we want our customers to have. This item receives a lot of positive feedback, and issues like this are uncommon. But we’ve had a few similar reports recently and want to assure you that our team is looking into it. In the meantime, we’d love the chance to make this right and will be reaching out directly to assist with a replacement. Thank you for sharing your feedback as it is truly valuable to us. We want your kids to have the full experience.

Fell apart
Put this in son's stocking. He just used it and said when he opened it that it fell apart in his hand. He didnt squeeze it or do anything to it. Some got in the tub and rest fell on the floor. He had to scoop it up in his hand and put it in bath. Said it smelled good and seemed moisturizing. He got $1. Fun idea but due to quality I dont think I'd recommend.
Response from merchant
We’re so sorry to hear that the bath bomb arrived in this condition—this is absolutely not the experience we want for our customers, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment it caused. This bath bomb is made from delicate, dissolvable materials and is typically a lot of fun, it should not crumble as easily as described and we’re confident this was an isolated issue and not something that will happen again. We’d love to make this right and will be reaching out directly to help with a replacement. Thank you for bringing this to our attention—we truly appreciate your feedback.

Fell apart
I was so excited to get this bath bomb for my son as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. Today is Christmas day and when it was bath time he went to open the bath bomb and it completely crumbled and he was pretty disappointed. Everything was revealed and it was a one dollar bill which that part is fine. I don't even think he cared that it was only a dollar bill. It was more the fact that the whole thing fell apart and he was really excited to just let it soak in the tub and have a slow reveal. I order from uncommon goods quite a bit so this was a pretty big disappointment, especially because it was for my son who is young and this was really a gift from Santa so this was a real bummer. Also, like another reviewer on here I also had to clean up bath bomb dust from the tub and all over the floor. Not something I really felt like doing after a long day of Christmas with kids. If the bath bomb would've just stayed together, like I said, the dollar wouldn't have mattered, but for it to fall apart, it was just very disappointing.
Response from merchant
We’re so very sorry to hear about this experience—especially on Christmas Day, when this was meant to be a special moment for your son. That’s certainly not how this gift from Santa should have gone. This bath bomb usually receives a lot of positive feedback, and issues like this are very rare. We’ve had a few similar reports recently, and our team is actively looking into it. In the meantime, we’d love the opportunity to make this right and will be reaching out directly to assist with a replacement. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and for being a loyal Uncommon Goods customer—we truly appreciate it!

Meh
Bought cinnamon donut (the blue one) as a fun stocking stuffer for my son. It arrived unprotected and broken in the shipping box- also without the gold "splatter" effect on the outside, but he didn't know that. He was excited anyway, but of course being broken, he just had to dump it in the tub, as it was already in pieces. No suspense for the prize, as it dropped out of the packaging. Not worth the price when arriving damaged.
Response from merchant
We’re really sorry to hear about this, especially since this bath bomb is usually such a fun experience. We consistently hear great feedback on it, so it’s very disappointing that the surprise was spoiled this time. Because it arrived broken, we completely understand how that took away from the fun. We’d love the chance to make this right by sending a proper replacement so your son can enjoy the full experience, and we’ll be reaching out directly to help with this. Thank you for sharing your feedback—we truly appreciate it and hope we can turn this around for you.

I have already purchased more for gifts
These bath bombs are vibrant and moisturizing. The money is well sealed and the bath bomb dissolves slowly adding to the excitement. The scent is just the right amount. It's wonderful that this is a clean product.

Just wondering if you ever actually put a 20.00 bill in the bath bombs? Is it usually one dollar?
Verified reply from Iriscelis
The bath bomb contains a surprise cash prize of $1, $2, $5, $10, or $20. Since it is intended to be a surprise we have no way of knowing which bath bomb will have a $20 prize.
