I purchased this as a gift for my five year old. She loves the illustrations. The Secret Garden isn't too heavy on text though; there are multiple pages that are just illustrations. Not a complaint - just a note. I think the stories themselves can feel a bit dark for younger kids - just keep that in mind as you're shopping. I felt it was appropraite for my child, but those with sensitive littles might want to wait.

Very neat set

I got this for a gift for my daughter. She loves comic style books so I thought this was a great way to ease her in to the classics. Beautiful illustrations and very creative way to encourage young readers to read classics
