Myles and Heather Geyman story is better than a rom-com’s: They each rented space at a community ceramics studio in Pittsburgh and soon began collaborating, launched a business, and fell in love.
Passionate about designing objects as functional as they are beautiful, the artists are drawn to many of the same things. “Inspiration often comes from the result of interacting with an object,” says Myles; other times, from the natural world. On a recent hike the couple was "inspired by the brilliant coloring and eroded forms of various rock formations.” No matter how their pieces become finished, for-sale items, Myles and Heather appreciate their luck. "Art has always been an integral part of our lives," says Myles. "We feel fortunate to be able to work together in a creative field every day."

Care
Wash lid with warm, soapy water and dry immediately. For long term care of the bamboo lid, apply coconut oil every few months to sides and edges.
Glass bowl is dishwasher safe.
Notes
Please note: The bamboo lid does not have a finish, as its superior stability will not warp. Please still take care of it as you would other wood products, by avoiding prolonged contact with moisture and regular use of coconut oil on all sides and edges. Due to the manufacturing process, some bowls may arrive with minor imperfections that do not affect functionality.

Don't hesitate - Get one for you AND as a gift.
I have had this bowl for several years now. I just can't say enough good things about it. It is a complete space saver. Having the fruit on display and available just lends itself to good eating habits and less food waste. My 6 and 4 year old boys eat fruits and veggies like it's going out of style because it's right there on the counter-top. It's easy to clean, just wash the bowl in hot soapy water and oil the wood once in a while (I use room temp coconut oil and a paper towel). I have had a few things mold on the wood - I just take a little vinegar and water to wipe it, dry with a towel, then wipe down with the coconut oil.

Ordered twice, manufacturer defects both times
I'll start by saying I love the design and look of this fruit bowl. I love the material used, more sustainable and aesthetically pleasing. After seeing one at a friend's house, I knew I needed it. So, I hopped on here and placed my first order. The bowl arrived in about 5 days, and I was so excited to unbox it. When I did, I immediately noticed all of this brown and black scuffing on the bottom of the bowl. I thought they'd come off with some soap and water but nope, they were scratched into the glass. I emailed customer support and they sent me a new one only after I returned the defective one. A little frustrating, but fine. Well, the replacement just arrived and not only does it have even more of the same brown and black scratches on the bottom of the bowl, a piece of the glass on the rim is missing. Not from shipping either, no glass found in the packaging. I don't understand how someone can ship a product with obvious defects, and charge you $70 + tax for it. At this point, I can't trust that I won't be sent yet another bowl with the same defects, but of course I have to spend more of my time now sending the second one back to get my refund. Buyer beware!

I would buy this product again, yes
The product is used for all types fruits even sometimes avocados. I like the ability to suspend bananas. I only buy green bananas and by hang them I can watch them turn ripe is cool. Also the bowl is a nice size and sturdy. The top looks great especially after I wiped it down with coconut oil as the instructions instructed me to do.

Poor quality hardware, unusable product
I highly regret purchasing this item. It did not come assembled, and the hardware that it came with was not appropriate for the fit of the pre-drilled holes. The wood in the curved wooden arm of the bowl cracked when we tried to tighten in both the screw that holds it in place and the hook. We are not novices at this!Even with after the cracks occurred, the hook and the screw did not fit the product screw holes. This is a design flaw that undercuts the quality of the product, which is far too expensive for this issue. The bowl also came with some scuffs on the bottom that I could not remove with soap and water. Too bad.

Great product and great design!

Any chance I can just purchase the glass bowl? We had the set but my son dropped the bowl by accident so I'd like to replace it.

Is there any way to get a replacement of the circular wood piece? I have an older version of this product and the wood has started splitting. Would like to replace that piece only - I can reattach the arm myself.

What type of adhesive is used in the bamboo version?

Hi! There's none on the bamboo. Due to the nature of the bamboo construction, it doesn't need it. The maple boards can expand (which is why the finish is there), but the bamboo has more a composite construction, lending it superior stability.

It has! The maker has made an update! The wood now has a food-safe hardened finish to prevent warping.

The arm for the bananas does not move down and is attached to the wooden top but, the hook can be unscrewed if you have no bananas at the moment.
