I got this for my dad as a Christmas present. I never know what to get my dad, but had no doubts about this once I saw it. For as long as I can remember, dad has always left his glasses in random places and then struggled to find them. It only made sense to get this with an engraving. My dad and mom loved it. Great quality. It's now a staple decorative piece in the living room and my mom is happy she doesn't have to help him look for his glasses anymore. Win-Win.

Sure! Most folks find that this guy looks just as good in plastic frames as wire frames, so he's happy to accommodate any fashion sense. A few reviewers have mentioned that thicker plastic frames don't fit quite as well into the opening on the back as wire frames do, but that that's just a minor issue and doesn't prevent the nose from holding up the spectacles. Of course, glasses come in many sizes, with different frame thicknesses, so if you find that yours aren't a good fit with the Eye Glasses Holder, we're here to help with a return or exchange. Do you need the nose grips for this to hold the glasses?

Good question! We just put our own, nose grip-less glasses on the ol' Eye Glasses Holder, and they stayed put just as they were supposed to, so the answer is no, you don't need no steekeen' nose grips!

The nose grips on the glasses are not necessary. I just placed my glasses, which has no nose grips on, and it worked fine(sat higher though).
