Holly Hosterman was a trained jewelry artist and metalsmith fresh out of college and working three jobs. Paul "Yashi" Lubitz was a high-energy guy with tons of business ideas, but had never had a "real" job. They knew they wanted to work together, and they started their own jewelry company in a one-car garage, hand-cutting animal-shaped earrings out of brass and silver. They now have a 50-person crew in a studio nestled in the small town of Arcata, in the heart of California's redwoods.

Absolutely gorgeous earrings!

I bought these as a gift for my sister-in-law who lives in Sitka, Alaska. She loves them and was enchanted by the changing colors of the leaves.
