KOA + ROY founders Dr. Adriana Gluyas and Inga von Wellsheim, MSc. met while working at a management consulting firm. Eventually, they accepted separate job offers, but continued to meet for lunch, coffee breaks, and happy hours. One day, they started talking about developing a product for their husbands, who both dealt with post-workout soreness and inflammation. For over a year, the duo worked to create a solid massage cube that was easy to apply, made with all-natural ingredients, and relieved aches and pains.
With Adriana's Ph.D. in environment and development and Inga's MSc degree in marketing-finance (did we mention Inga's emphasis on sustainability and business?), it makes sense that they chose packaging that's modern, but free of plastic, sourced from a local, sustainable small business in San Diego. A Certified B Corp since 2019, KOA + ROY partners with the environmental non-profit One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every product they sell.

I'm hooked
My doctor suggested I buy a product that has CBD oil, for the inflammation of my knees. For a few years now I've been dealing with severe redness of my knees, that resembled a sunburn and felt like they were on fire. I was using Blue Emu oil and it did help but the inflammation would always return. Since I've been using the CBD Massage Cube the burning and redness is gone and I've only been using it less than a month, that's how quickly it worked.

Product Works Well and Customer Service Was Excellent
This CBD cube works very well. I use topical CBD products all the time to manage joint ached and pains. This is so easy to apply - just rub it where you want relief. I use it on my shoulders before bed time and it is not greasy, there's no odor and it provides relief. I did have a problem at first with the shipping but it was fixed wonderfully. I was excited to get this CBD cube. It was shipped via USPS, but when I retrieved from my mailbox (during a heat wave) I ended up with CBD soup that leaked out all over the place. I was so disappointed. I reached out to Uncommon Goods and within two minutes of writing to them a replacement was shipped.

Does this absorb cleanly into the skin or does it leave a residue of any sort? I am wondering if I have to worry about it staining clothing.

As the ingredients are butters and oils, you'd need to rub it in thoroughly. Fabric types vary so you'd need to test an area. Here are the ingredients! What is the shelf life of the massage cube? Or how long before the the oils in it expire/no longer active?

Hello! Per the artist, all of the natural ingredients have a Certificate of Analysis with an expiration of 3 years when we formulate. The final product expiration date is 12 months to guarantee the effectiveness of natural ingredients.

Do you massage into your skin by rubbing onto your hands or can you rub the cube directly onto your skin while it's in the cube? It's hard to tell consistency from the picture.
