Neil Edley didn't choose the sweet life, it chose him. Since he was 15 years old, he's been operating a confections business with his mother Frann in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Neil is still dreaming up innovative culinary ideas as their business continues to grow. Willing to experiment with any combination that comes to mind, whether it's bourbon caramel pretzel chocolate or Caribbean jerk peanuts, his team specializes in custom-made products. Neil perfected his craft at renowned culinary college Johnson & Wales, and continues to expand upon his knowledge and creativity by making the best chocolates and nuts possible. His hope is that his confections provide the world with a little taste of happiness.

Sugar! And dust.
I had purchased these as a gift but didn't end up giving them away. I opened one package and found 90% dust with an only a few, small chunks of nuts evident. I ate what I could and found them to be very sweet. Checked the package - first ingredient is sugar! How can this be when the nut should be the largest quantity. Undeterred, I opened a second package. The nuts were in larger chunks and no dust. But still with sugar as the first ingredient. Threw it out. Third package opened and taste was like the others. All sugar, not a whiff of liquor. I'm so glad I didn't send these to my friend! Never again.

Great for the nut enthusiast looking for unique flabors.
I got these nuts as a birthday gift for my father. He loved the different alcohol flavors, especially the bourbon. I think the only improvement might be to add more nut and alcohol flavor varieties instead of the three currently included.

what is the calorie content and especially the sugar content of the beer and bourbon nuts? also, it states alcohol free, yet the alcohol is listed in the ingredients? is it just alcohol flavoring or does the alcohol get removed during the process to make the nuts?

Serving size 3 tbsp. Cashews - 140 calories, 10 g fat, 14 g carbs, 9 g sugar. Peanuts - 140 calories, 11 g fat, 12 g carbs, 5 g sugar. Almonds - 150 calories, 11 g fat, 11 g carbs, 8 g sugar. The alcohol content is removed during the production process.
