Jewelry designers Kevin and Deborah Healy say, "the swirling colors and patterns of kaleidoscopes have enabled us to add a new dimension to how our jewelry may be enjoyed." The first kaleidoscopes they remember were the classic cardboard toys passed between friends during endless childhood summers under the willow trees between stickball games or tea parties. These later inspired the wearable works of art that the duo designs.

A delight every time I wear it
This was a surprise gift for my birthday several years ago but someone commented on my necklace the other day so it prompted me to write this review. The working kaleidoscope portion of the necklace is so much more vibrant, delicate and amazing that the pictures above don't do it justice. It's like having a tiny cathedral's rose window at your fingertips. I get comments on it whenever I wear it and people are usually enchanted after looking through it. The relief of the white rabbit is nicely detailed though it contrasts with the rather sketchy, flat clock face on the other side. The exterior has tarnished a bit over time but I experience that will all my silver jewelry so am not surprised or bothered by that. I love this necklace.

Outstanding
I bought this for my daughter for her 30th birthday. She is an "Alice" fan. I love how unique this piece is. I've never seen anything like it. I especially like knowing that my three very young grandchildren will grow up loving to look in the kaleidoscope. I fell in love with the piece on line, and my daughter loves it and promises to treasure it. One of the most meaningful jewelry purchases I've ever made.

Love the idea but not worth the cost
Love the idea of this product and it does work nicely however the only "Alice in Wonderland" aspect is a rabbit and a clock. Also I don't feel it is worth the cost, I returned my order

Beautiful
Beautiful! Even nicer in person. The outside is shiny and beautifully detailed. Nicer than the picture. The kaleidoscope effect also is much more exciting in person and very fun to roll between your fingers and experience the changes. A unique and beautiful necklace that can be worn with a dress or t-shirt.

Had it for 3 years
I've had this necklace for three years and it's the only piece of jewelry I wear besides my watch. I love the idea of jewelry, but seldom wear most pieces I own. Something about the way the silver looks against my skin is simply stunning. I wear it always and I love looking inside the Kaleidoscope and showing others how stunning and cool it is. However last night my chain actually broke after it got tangled. I was hoping if there's a way to replace that part of the necklace or if you sell that piece separately? Anywho, the necklace is amazing. I'd recommend it to anyone. Definitely worth it and a special gift.

The description indicates that the dimensions of the pendant are 1/4" diameter by 1" length. Could you validate that? It appears to be larger in the pictures.
