Pick one of four genres and you’ll get a secret, secondhand (in great condition) highly acclaimed title, prewrapped with only the year and a quote from a stranger’s review as a hint.

Nice idea poorly handled

I was given this for Christmas and I was excited but the book was not in the genre my husband selected and was the second volume of a 1500 "book" . It starts on page 600! I'm not excited enough by the premise to go out and find the first since it's a long read. If I'd been sent the first part, I would have given it a try but this will probably just get donated.

Fun idea! Great as a gift for book lovers

I bought this for myself, for my husband to give me for Christmas. I am an avid reader and it gets hard to continually find different books to read so I thought I would give this a try. I was a little hesitant because I was afraid I would get a book that I had already read, but I was pleasantly surprised as it was a book. I had never even heard of before. I definitely recommend this for a book lovers in your life is it something fun and different as a gift.

For the book lover

My hard cover book was in excellent condition - I thought it was new. I picked a genre I don't normally read and enjoyed it. I looked up the author. He has written quite a few others so now I have added those to my running "to be read" list. I wish they had a few additional genres, such as historical fiction or memoirs/biographies.

Great Idea But Poor Execution

I almost always love a Blind Date With a Book! They're creative and fun and everyone loves a surprise. However, the book received was not in the genre requested and was in worse condition than advertised. I love the idea of upcycling used books but it was not done great here.

So Much Fun!

I was excited to receive this item. I love that you don't know what you're going to get until you read the clue then open the box. I would absolutely purchase this again. It was a really fun and exciting surprise!

It was a hit!

I got this for my mom, and she said "It's something I wouldn't have picked off the library shelf, but I really enjoyed it." When she went to read it she'd announce to the whole house "I'm going on a blind date with my book!"
