Excellent gift idea and a great conversation starter
I had a trusted family member pull the pin when my wife and i said "I Do". Been almost 5 years now and still working great. Only downside is I still haven't found a way to display it worthy of what it represents.

One of a kind Gift for you or someone else
I bought this to commemorate a moment in time (don't know that moment yet) and then this can be passed down for a couple of thousand years down the family tree. Or for future aliens to find in the sand at Huntington Beach, CA (my favorite beach hometown)

Uncommongreat
This marks the moment my grandson and his beautiful fiancé marry. They're both in medicine, so scientists, and a sweet romantic couple, so appreciative of special moments. This timer covers both areas.

I love this timer. However it is still sitting in the box it came in. Do you also sell a display or holder for it?
Verified reply from Ashley
We are so glad to hear that you love the Time Since Launch Clock! Great question regarding a display stand or holder. We are sorry to say that at this time we do not offer a stand for this clock.

Can you stop the time? I.e. if you start the timer at the beginning of a major project, can you stop it when the project is complete?
Verified reply from Jamie
You cannot stop the time. Once launched, it continues to count forever! If you remove the batteries and drain the backup power, when you replace the batteries the device will reboot based on where it last left off counting.

What happens when the batteries die
Verified reply from Leighton
When your Time Since Launch clock is low on batteries, the display will indicate it’s time to change batteries long before they run out - about 6 months in advance. Just pull the aluminum caps out of the glass tube to expose the batteries, pull them out and insert your new batteries. Backup capacitors will keep the chips powered and the clock running while you swap in a fresh set of batteries without losing time.

Are you able to set it to a past Date and Time?
Verified reply from Leighton
The Time Since Launch Clock is more like a stopwatch than a timepiece - once you pull the pin the device is physically altered forever and will continue to count from that moment onward. There is no way to set the time or date and no way to stop it once it has be set in motion, so choose your moment wisely!

How often do you have to change the batteries? What happens to the timer when you change the batteries?
Verified reply from Melody
If and when your TSL is low on batteries (every 20-40 years), the display will indicate it’s time to change batteries long before they run out (about 6 months to give you ample time to notice). You can simply pull the aluminum caps out of the glass tube to expose the batteries, pull them out and insert your new batteries. Backup capacitors will keep the chips powered and the clock running while you swap in a fresh set of batteries without losing time.

I want to know if I can put in the date I want it to start. For example I was married Oct 5,1981. Can I start it on that date?
Verified reply from Melody
Unfortunately, dates cannot be entered. Time Since Launch is a single-use, long-scale launch clock. When you're ready to start timing, pull the stainless-steel launch pin to begin counting for 2,738 years.

1) How long will the battery last? 1.a) If the battery is changeable will the clock stay accurate after the battery dies? And, 1.b)If it will remain accurate once the battery dies, how long will it stay accurate after the battery is drained to allow for power source replacement? Cheers!
Verified reply from Melody
Time Since Launch (TSL) ships with a long lasting AA battery made by Energizer. Energizer L91 Ultimate Lithium are fancy batteries, but readily available for purchase around the world.
