Watering Young Plants: Water deeply and regularly during the first year to establish a strong root system. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Pomegranates are drought-tolerant but produce better fruit with consistent watering. Water every 7-10 days during dry periods. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer (such as 10-10-10) in early spring before new growth starts. Avoid over-fertilizing, which can lead to excessive foliage growth at the expense of fruit production. Organic compost can be added annually to improve soil health.
