Shahira Marei was born in Egypt and raised in California. When she was 10, she went on a family vacation to her birthplace and was struck by how underserved some communities were. From that experience, Shahira realized her goal was to help others by creating a company centered on its employees. She started her career as an aerospace project manager, but made a major pivot to become a baked-goods entrepreneur. Now, Shahira and her team create a line of delicious treats, like cookie shot cups.
