Love
I've had these bracelets for at least 9 or 10 years and they've only come off my wrist a couple times when I needed a medical procedure done. They remind me of my trip to go to Guatemala, being with the Myan people and hearing their stories. They are getting faded, but they have lasted, are well-made and even though they are faded they are still part of me as their stories are.

I was wondering if there is something inside to indicate which bracelet stands for which part of the earth's creation? I may be giving them out individually and want to be able to tell them the symbolism behind each. Thank you.
Verified reply from Valerie
There is a pamphlet included, however the meaning of each of these bracelets is ultimately up to the wearer. Each band has a unique combination of colors, charms, beads and decorative knot work, allowing you to find a symbolic meaning in each one. When you wear the twisting, autumn-toned band with its starburst pendant, for example, will you picture the sun and the earth, or intricate wonder of DNA?

Hi, do these come in nice packaging? It's a gift and I want it to look nice, but there's no photo of the packaging in the description. Thanks.
Verified reply from Marisa
This item goes with the story card in a plastic bag. If you're planning to send it as a gift, you can opt to have it gift boxed when you order it.

Can you wear each bracelet individually or are they all together? Also wondering if each bracelet has a clasp to get it on and off? Or is it the type where you put it on once and there's no daily removal?
Verified reply from Marisa
Thanks for your question. You can wear one of these bracelets at a time, or wear them in any combo you like. They do have simple yet secure clasps so that you can take them and off easily.

Is this bracelet set waterproof? I bought them and I LOVE the set, it's wonderful. But I'm not sure if I can wear in shower, pool, ocean, etc. Thanks

What is the Story of the Earth?
Verified reply from Marisa
Thanks for your question. "Story of the Earth" is the idea artist Lis Giròn had in mind when she created these bracelets. Each bracelet has its own unique meaning to correspond with the story; one representing the earth, sun, stars and moon. The next bracelet symbolizes water and wind, followed by plants and animals, people, and the last bracelet represents the love that connects them all. It's an artistic, poetic way to think about a set of bracelets. You could also just think of these as a great set of bracelets with harmonizing colors and shapes, of course. Hi, does the bracelet collection come with a description of each "season"? It is gift and I thought it would be nice. Thank You Shely
Verified reply from Marisa
Thanks for your question. The Story of the Earth Bracelets don't really encompass "seasons." This set of bracelets tells a story of the creation of the Earth. Each bracelet has its own unique meaning to correspond with the story; one representing the earth, sun, stars and moon. The next bracelet symbolizes water and wind, followed by plants and animals, people, and the last bracelet represents the love that connects them all. Can they be made longer? I have a seven inch wrist and I would like them to be loose on my wrist.
Verified reply from Marisa
We can't make them longer at UG HQ, but as these would be a mite tight on you, if you love them enough to go to a little trouble, it wouldn't be too hard to knot a bit of extra, color-coordinated cord to make them longer. If you did that, you could customize them some of your favorite mix and match colors.
