Whistling timer

I don't like waiting for a pot to boil so I could set the timer. (We know about watched pots, tight? ) This works like a charm. One reviewer said she wished the whistle was louder. I found it plenty loud enough. I heard it out on my back deck. (The door was open). I'll add that the repetitive tune has me hopping to take care of it instead of postponing a few more minutes to finish something. Catching it at the right moment means no green ring around the yolk! Ps bought another for a friend

I first bought one of these as a lark because it looked so fun. Then because it was so clever and fun I bought 5 more. Then I bought 6 more. It was the biggest Christmas stocking hit ever! And since we all always screw up in cooking soft boiled eggs properly, this gift was both practical and fun.
