Do you have to freeze the cooler for it to work or is it just that the beers are cold when they go in the cooler?

Hi! The cooler does not have to be frozen, it is designed to keep beers cold if they are already cold for up to 7 hours. There is also a beer can ice pack available that will extend that time to 9 hours.

Will it hold its shape if the beer is not in a case? Can you put individual cans or bottles? I'm not quite following how you both put a case of beet in and also unzip the top to take out individual drinks.

Hi! This cooler is designed to be used with a case beer, not separately. To access the beverages, the vendor's guidelines are to tear a hole in the top of your box and you will be able reach the beverages through magnetic top flap.
