Microwave Pasta Pot
I think this is great, would be nice to have better instructions on how to use. I have gone online but there is very little on this I guess use like other similar products. But if it came with its own instructions would be nice....

Great gift for a college student
The instructions are not great, but who follows the instructions anyway? I used angel hair pasta, covered w/water, microwaved for four minutes, drained any excess water, added sauce and shrimp, cooked another minute, and dinner for one was done! Caution: red sauce stains the plastic.

Rated to be used in 800 watt microwave
Have not used it yet because it is rated for an 800 watt microwave and mine is 1200 watt. Nowhere in the description does it state this wattage limitation. I am now having to research my microwave manual to see if I can reduce the power level or something to be able to use this pot.

No I would not buy this product again
As stated, lid does not function as advertised which makes this product a dream burn hazard & very hard to use when draining boiling water.
Response from merchant
Hi! We're so sorry to hear that. We've messaged you to help.

No regrets! Best gift ever
This is a great product for college students, beginner cooks, and anyone who might just be a little bit lazy! My roommate loves making pasta late at night when she's studying, or after coming home from a night out. This makes the process so much easier for her by cutting the need for a stove, stirring a pot, etc. All she has to do is pop it in the microwave and she's good to go!

Not until it has a better grip in the sides
This product definitely needs a better grip of the sides when you are draining the pasta. When I turned it over, all the pasta when down the drain!!! Should be an easy conversion to fix it. If so, i would appreciate having one that I feel confident in holding.
Response from merchant
Thank you for the feedback! The lid does not lock in place and should be handled with oven mitts when draining. If you're not completely happy, have a Forever Return Policy should you wish to return it!

Not enough burners on the stove?
This is perfect for the college student with a small studio kitchen. Microwaves are common place - so let's take advantage of them.

Can you add sauce to the cooker if you reduce the initial cooking time, drain, add sauce and microwave longer? Looking to do it all in one pot
Verified reply from Iriscelis
Yes, sauce can be added to cooked pasta and then placed in the microwave again.

This states that it is to be used in an 800 watt microwave. Does a 900 watt get too hot for it?
Verified reply from Allison
Not to worry! For a higher wattage microwave, you'd need to shorten the cooking time. Compact models typically output approximately 900W. Wattage refers to the power a microwave can output. The higher the wattage, the faster the cooking time.

My daughter has official college dorm micro/fridge, 700 watt microwave. Can pasta pot be used in her microwave? Since product is marketed as great for colllege dorms- & she has standard college dorm microwave- I assumed product is good for hers. However, I then saw the 800 watt comment in Details.
Verified reply from Itamar
Unfortunately, The manufacturer cannot guarantee the same cook times or results for a lower wattage microwave.
