What Makes It Uncommon

Sensory bottles, or calm-down jars, as they’re known on social media, are tools designed to help children manage their emotions and engage in moments of calm relaxation. Filled with water and other mix-ins, they create a soothing visual effect after being shaken as the materials within gently settle to the bottom. This collection of sensory-jar kits, exclusive to Uncommon Goods, features a water-activated light that changes color with a tap and themed packages of fun fillers to swirl and delight littles.

  • Fill the vessel with water and a fun filler pack (or toys from around the house), seal the childproof lid, then let your kiddo shake, rattle, and swirl their jar.
  • Light is activated when filled with water, and the color changes with a tap. Turn the jar over on its top to turn off the light.
  • Choose from four different sets:
    • Sensory Safari with green jar: Plant and leaf glitter and sequins with animal figures, pellets that grow into sponge creatures, and silicone balls.
    • Outer Space with purple jar: Purple and starburst glitter and sequins swirl with sprinkle-like confetti, silicone balls, and plastic jewels.
    • Under the Sea with blue jar: Blue, shell, and creature-shaped glitter and confetti share the water with plastic sea critters and silicone balls.
    • Fairy Forest with pink jar: Rose gold glitter, silver stars, and flower confetti swirl around floral and butterfly beads, rhinestones, and more.

A great toy for your child!

I just had to for this product because we love it so much! The Light Up Sensory Play Jars Fairy Forest (Pink Jar) is absolutely perfect for my daughter. The lights are calming, and the batteries were easy to install. Definitely worth it! I would recommend this product to anyone.

So Cute and Creative!

Tip it over and it turns off….? Brilliant. My nephew and niece love this and its a mainstay in their play. Getting a 2nd as one likes it as a nightlight as they go to sleep (light is pretty soft) and the other loves to add as much as possible to the jar to create an "overloaded snowglobe". Survives getting knocked around a little. Great product! Would recommend most certainly

Bought this for my 7mo — he loves to see it change colors. It's too heavy when filled with water for him to hold it, but his big sis loves to shake it and hold it for him. I love that it came with the fillers. #sweepstakes

Was not able to turn light off

The battery ran out because we were not able to turn the light off after child fell asleep. Definitely not worth it.

Don't waste your money

Not sure why I didn't believe the reviews I read about the lights not working. The lighting element is broken, which is really the main feature of the toy.

Sensory jar - recommended it not stay filled for over 24h

I got this jar for my daughter to use when she is upset and needs time to calm down or relax. Upon receipt and opening the package, I realize the item is designed to be filled with water for no longer than 24 hours, which is a bizzare concept. Is the intent you will fill it with confetti and trinkets at the time your child is throwing a temper tantrum? Disappointed in this purchase.

Glo Pals light-up cubes activate when placed in liquid containing ions, but it's important to remove and dry them after use to prolong their lifespan. According to the manufacturer, removing the pals from liquid, shaking off excess water, and allowing them to dry can help increase their longevity. To turn off the Glo Pals in the sensory jar, simply turn the jar upside down.

Do not work

I bought two of these for my son and neither one lights up. Very disappointed.
