Inspired by works of art by Yves Klein and Andy Warhol, South African Jeremy Brown had been making "intimacy art" for a decade, when one day, a friend complimented him on a painting in his house. After he told her how it was made, she asked him to provide her with everything she’d need to make one with her husband on their anniversary. He did, they loved it, and the Love Is Art kit was born. Jeremy then spent six months researching and developing materials to ensure a safe project for all.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 4/4/2025.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Box. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip. At this time, this item cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, or to U.S. Territories including Minor Outlyling Islands. Contact custom@uncommongoods.com with any questions.

cardboard, cotton canvas, non-toxic paint, plastic drop cloth, mesh body scrubber, cotton disposable slippers

Measurements

Canvas: 54" x 41"

Notes

Once completed, the canvas can be taken to your local art store to be stretched and framed. Canvas is not pre-stretched, however, the material will absorb the paint, so that when the canvas is stretched in order to be framed, your artwork will not be distorted. There is a non-absorbent backing on the canvas, which will prevent paint from going all the way through.

Paint takes around 4 hours to dry, depending on thickness.

Paint is non-toxic and washable. Easily scrubs off of skin and out of hair with soap and water.
