So you think you know beer, but can you really say what you love about that IPA? Or why you’re sometimes in the mood for a porter over a stout? Join beer pro (now there’s a job) Kevin Brooks for this live virtual experience where you’ll learn how to taste and appreciate different brews like an expert.
- Before class, Kevin will share his recommendations on the six kinds of beer you’ll be sampling: pilsner, hefeweizen, gose, IPA, porter, and stout.
- While you taste each one, you’ll learn how to detect and appreciate their flavor profiles and learn about their distinct histories—you’ll even find out why beer glasses come in so many different shapes and sizes.
- By the end of class, you’ll be able to hit the craft-beer section at your market or explore local breweries with a savvy confidence in what you enjoy and want to try next.
Class length: 90 minutes.
