Ed Spurr, born in Rome, and Amy Hall Browne, a New Yorker, met while waiting in line at a Brooklyn concert. With a shared love of nature and backgrounds in art, design, and editorial, they decided to create products that reconnect people with nature, even in urban settings. What began as a kitchen-table startup is now a London-based studio. Ed and Amy enjoy going on hikes and long walks, while their Parson Russell terrier, Koko, helps the business by keeping squirrels away from their oak-tree nursery.

Outstanding product and service

I bought 3 of these, 2 for my daughters and 1 for my granddaughter for Valentine's day. The live in different parts of the country and while ordering, I mis-typed one of their addresses. Uncommon goods was extraordinarily helpful in product support by notifying me of the error and then correcting the shipping address. They re-shipped the gift, which arrived in time. Very impressed with this. My girls loved the vases!

A Sweet Home Run

I sent this to my mom for Mothers Day. I love this because she is 82 years of age and for all of my life, since I can remember, my mom always had an avocado plant in the kitchen window. A lot has changed in my 55+ years and a lot has changed for her in the last year, and this year I knew I wanted to get her something she would love that had special sentiment to our years together. My mom received it today and she cried and cried and cried she loves it. She said it is not only sentimental but she got the meaning meaning behind it and it was wrapped and packaged beautifully. Uncommon Goods nailed it. I nailed it. I told my sister this was a very sweet home run.

So unique!

Love how this looks on my windowsill! Just set it up with an avocado pit, so not quite sure how the process will work, but encouraged by the picture in the catalog
