Los Angeles–based Elizabeth, a former office manager and accountant, "always wanted to have a job making things with my hands," she says, "but I hadn’t found my niche." Ten years ago, she was gifted a sewing machine and taught herself to sew. "My mother and grandmother are avid crafters and they give me pointers," she says. "My products put smiles on people’s faces, and that’s the best feeling in the world." Elizabeth adds, "I have three sons, and they sometimes request a 'cat' when they have achy muscles."
